Higley asked to be the visitors, forgoing the bat toss, and Tombstone obliged. That led to a shaky first inning, with two defensive miscues by Tombstone leading to two runs.
Higley tacked on another in the second, but then a defensive gem ensued.
Tombstone had bases loaded with one out but Fingers grounded into a bad luck double play. It was the second double play of the game and it was the difference.
The game featured some fantastic defensive gems, most notably an 8-6-2 double play executed by the Tombstone Nine. With a man on second, a high fly ball sent the runner running. It was caught on a bounce my Jeeves, but the Haymaker attempted to score. Jeeves relayed to Schultzie who relayed to Crash at home, who tagged out the runner to the delight of the early morning crowd.
